Hi! I'm Ruth, I'm a ceramic artist and painter based in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I create functional pottery and ceramic sculpture that is inspired by the nature of the coastal landscape of Hatteras Island where I live. I also love to work with watercolors, creating botanical illustrations and custom heirloom portrait paintings.

A little bit about me: My great loves are the outdoors, traveling, good coffee, and learning new things. I was born and raised in North Carolina and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in with a degree in Studio Art. Since then, I have spent my time in Cape Hatteras as a studio assistant at Kinnakeet Clay pottery studio and showroom. When I'm not making art, you can usually find me outside surfing, running, or messing around in the garden.
